The London Underground: 150 Years Anniversary

Happy Anniversary London Underground! Today on 9 January in 1863, The first journey on the London Underground was made 150 years ago.

Did you know that in 1908 when the network first opened under the name of the London Underground there were six independent operators running different underground lines across London?

    I’ll watch out for green grapes next time I’m in the Tube! The rise of a new species of mosquito is surely one of the shining testimonies to the venerability of the Tube.
