Fancy a free ride on a husky to work and a case of spiced apple cider? Then read on..

Swedish fruit cider brand, Kopparberg, is warming up the winter commute during the festive period by offering husky rides and warm Spiced Apple Kopparberg to workers on their way to and from the office. Dubbed ‘The Kopparberg Line’, the huskies will first provide a shortcut for commuters through London, offering journeys across Kennington Park.

In order to book a journey on the Kopparberg line, fans of the cider brand simply need to request a slot on Twitter or Facebook, messaging the Kopparberg UK official accounts using the #KopparbergMushHour hashtag.

Those lucky enough to win a trip will also be sent a case of Kopparberg Spiced Apple cider to warm up at home.

Send a festive message by displaying it on the BT Tower – #TweetsOnTheTower

BT_Tower -tweets on the tower

Christmas cards are so last century, if you want to send your friends or loved one’s a festive message send them a message via the BT Tower. This Christmas  BT will be giving  people the opportunity to display personal Christmas messages from the top of the BT Tower – in front of millions of Londoners across the capital.

So how can you get your message across? All you have to do is  tweet your Christmas message to @BT_UK with the #TweetsOnTheTower hashtag between 19th-21st December.

Tweets should ideally be between 70 and 100 characters long. The best Tweets (in terms of content, humour, charm and relevance) will then be selected with the display going live from 4pm, each day.

12 Tweets will be displayed every 2 hours, with each Tweet having between 10 and 12 minutes of air time (Over 100 Tweets will be shown over the three day period).

If your tweet is selected you will be sent a  return tweet featuring a Vine video clip with their tweet on the Tower, which you can share with all your friends via social media.

Day 10 – Dine at new American Restaurant Jackson & Rye, Wardour Street Soho

image

I’m always excited to hear about new restaurant openings. Jackson & Rye is a New York style restaurant in Soho which opened on Monday

It is open from 8am until midnight, seven days a week and will offer all-day dining and a 10-seat cocktail bar.

The American-themed menus are inspired by US east coast cuisine, as well as the best elements of the West coast and Southern states.

Highlights on the all-day menu include: gruyère cheeseburger; buttermilk chicken two ways; veal, beef and ricotta meatballs; and prime cut steaks with roast shallot and pinot nero sauce. Hmm yummy!

Take a sneak peak of the brunch menu below:

I visited Jackson and Rye yesterday and it seems that word has already got around, so if you want to try their cuisine I suggest you reserve yourself a table!

Day 8 /9 – Lanky girl’s advent calender, Mandela Art Exhibition

Sorry a bit behind due to illness but here is the next in the series of Christmas treats to look for.

Day 8 – See Mandela’s paintings and sketchings at the Belgravia gallery

image

Over the weekend I met a friend to go gallery hopping. I’ve always wanted to visit some of the smaller galleries on Albermarle street but in the past have been too intimidated. I don’t why I was so worried, each of the galleries were very welcoming. During our jaunt we discovered The Belgravia Gallery were exhibiting Mandela’s work (who knew he painted?). We felt like we had been given a special privilege of seeing his work considering he has just passed. If you do visit make sure to check out the fantastic work of charcoal artist Charlie Mackesy.

Day 9 – Christmas Gift Idea – Street Artist Eine’s 3D sculptures.
